The National Weather Service in San Angelo has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Southeastern Jones County in west central Texas...
  Northeastern Taylor County in west central Texas...

* Until 500 AM CDT.

* At 259 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated slow moving thunderstorms 
  producing heavy rain near Merkel. Up to 2 inches of rain have 
  fallen with additional rainfall amounts up to 2 inches possible in 
  the warned area. This area of heavy rain will be moving into 
  Abilene through 5 AM. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to 
  begin shortly.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
           areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
           other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Abilene, Wylie, Tye, Hawley, Dyess Afb, Caps, Hamby, Potosi, 
  Nugent, Impact, Kirby Lake, Lake Fort Phantom Hill, Hodges, Stith 
  and Truby.
