...SCATTERED THUNDERSTORMS EARLY THIS MORNING...

.Mid level moisture and a hot unstable atmosphere aid in 
scattered thunderstorm development early this morning. Abundant 
lightning combined with little if any rainfall will increase the 
threat for fire starts across dry vegetation. In addition, gusty 
erratic thunderstorm winds will create dangerous fire weather 
conditions for ongoing fires.

...RED FLAG WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL 5 AM PDT EARLY THIS MORNING...

The National Weather Service in Eureka has issued a Red Flag
Warning, which is in effect until 5 AM PDT early this morning. 

* AFFECTED AREA...Fire weather zone 203.Fire weather zone 204.

* THUNDERSTORMS...Thunderstorms producing abundant lightning 
  across dry fuels are expected resulting in an increased 
  threat for fire starts.

* OUTFLOW WINDS...Erratic outflow winds gusting to 30 mph.

* IMPACTS...any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly. 
  Outdoor burning is not recommended.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are either occurring now, or will shortly. A combination of
strong winds, low relative humidity, and warm temperatures can
contribute to extreme fire behavior.
