* WHAT...North winds will increase again early Thursday morning 
  becoming 20 to 30 mph with gusts over 40 mph possible. Choppy 
  waters are expected across Lake Mead and Lake Havasu with 1 to 
  2 foot waves likely over the open waters. 1 to 3 foot waves 
  are expected across Lake Mohave.

* WHERE...In Arizona, Lake Havasu, Fort Mohave and the Lake Mead 
  National Recreation Area. In California, San Bernardino County-
   Upper Colorado River Valley. In Nevada, Laughlin and the Lake 
  Mead National Recreation Area.

* WHEN...Through 4 PM PST /5 PM MST/ Thursday.

* IMPACTS...Strong wind gusts could lead to minor tree and power 
  line damage resulting in power outages. Isolated structural 
  damage may also result. Choppy waters and enhanced wave action 
  on area lakes will lead to dangerous boating conditions for 
  small craft.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

* IMPACTS...Frost and freeze conditions will kill crops, other 
  sensitive vegetation and possibly damage unprotected outdoor 
  plumbing.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Take steps now to protect tender plants from the cold. To prevent
freezing and possible bursting of outdoor water pipes they should
be wrapped, drained, or allowed to drip slowly. Those that have
in-ground sprinkler systems should drain them and cover above-
ground pipes to protect them from freezing.
