* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Southern Kane County in southern Utah...

* Until 715 PM MDT.

* At 416 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing 
  heavy rain across the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or 
  expected to begin shortly.

  HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms
           producing flash flooding.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of normally dry washes
           and slot canyons.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Wire Pass, Coyote Wash (Utah portion), Buckskin Gulch to the 
  confluence with the Paria River, and the Paria River Canyon near 
  Buckskin Gulch.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.

Remain alert for flooding even in locations not receiving rain. Dry 
washes, streams, and rivers can become raging killer currents in a 
matter of minutes, even from distant rainfall.

Flooding is occurring or is imminent. It is important to know where 
you are relative to streams, rivers, or creeks which can become 
killers in heavy rains. Campers and hikers should avoid streams or 
creeks.

...FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 715 PM MDT THIS 
EVENING FOR SOUTHERN KANE COUNTY...

At 604 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy 
rain across the warned area. Between 0.7 and 0.9 inches of rain have 
fallen. Additional light to moderate rainfall will continue over the 
next 30 to 40 minutes. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to 
begin shortly.

HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing
         flash flooding.
