...BEACH HAZARDS STATEMENT IN EFFECT THROUGH LATE TONIGHT...

* WHAT...Moderately breezy southerly winds will produce rough surf
  and a strong northward flowing longshore current. There will
  also be a moderate risk of life threatening rip currents.

* WHERE...Volusia, Brevard, Indian River, St. Lucie and Martin
  Counties.

* WHEN...Through late tonight.

* IMPACTS...Strong currents and breaking waves can knock you off
  your feet and make you even more susceptible to being caught in
  the seaward pull of a rip current. Entering the surf today is
  discouraged.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Swim near a lifeguard. If caught in a rip current, relax and
float. Don't swim against the current. If able, swim in a
direction following the shoreline. If unable to escape, face the
shore and call or wave for help.
