Building, choppy surf expected Friday with breaking waves up to 5 feet developing. * WHERE...Coastal Volusia, Coastal Indian River, Coastal Saint Lucie, Coastal Martin, Mainland Northern Brevard, Northern Brevard Barrier Islands, Mainland Southern Brevard and Southern Brevard Barrier Islands Counties. * WHEN...Through late Friday night. * IMPACTS...Rough surf can knock you off your feet and make you even more susceptible to being caught in either a rip current or a longshore current. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...There will also be a Moderate Risk of Dangerous Rip Currents in the surf zone today and Friday. Never try to swim directly against either a longshore current or a rip current. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... If you decide to enter the ocean today, do so only within sight of a lifeguard.
