* WHAT...Hazardous surf of 7 to 10 feet expected, along with
  dangerous rip currents.

* WHERE...Along north facing reefs of Rota, Tinian and Saipan.

* WHEN...Until 6 PM ChST Saturday.

* IMPACTS...Dangerous swimming and surfing conditions and 
  localized beach erosion. Rip currents can sweep even the best 
  swimmers away from shore into deeper water.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Surf is expected to remain hazardous through
  Saturday, due to a large north swell. The north swell will start
  to decrease as early as Saturday night, which may allow surf to
  drop just below hazardous levels.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Inexperienced swimmers should remain out of the water due to
dangerous surf conditions.

Swim near a lifeguard. If caught in a rip current, relax and
float. Don't swim against the current. If able, swim in a
direction following the shoreline. If unable to escape, face the
shore and call or wave for help.

Buoy reports and surf observations indicate that surf has fallen 
to 8 feet of lower, and model guidance shows north swell slowly
diminishing. As a result, the High Surf Advisory for north facing 
reefs is cancelled.
