  Sumter County in west central Alabama...

* Until 1000 PM CDT.

* At 659 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated slow moving showers and 
  thunderstorms producing heavy rain across a large portion of 
  Sumter County. Radar indicates that at least 2 inches has already 
  fallen in many areas with another 1 to locally 2 inches likely 
  through this evening. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to 
  begin shortly.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

  IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
           areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
           other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

EVENING FOR WEST CENTRAL GREENE AND SUMTER COUNTIES...

At 826 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated slow moving showers and 
thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Although 
the heaviest rainfall has moved east of the area additional bands of 
showers and storms will persist through late evening. These will 
exacerbate the ongoing flood situation.
