The National Weather Service in Las Vegas has issued a High Wind
Warning, which is in effect from 11 AM to 10 PM PDT Tuesday. The
High Wind Watch is no longer in effect. 

* WHAT...West winds 40 to 50 mph with gusts up to 70 mph 
  possible.
  

* WHERE...Eastern Sierra Slopes above 5000 ft.

* WHEN...From late Tuesday morning through Tuesday evening.

* TIMING...Winds will increase late morning Tuesday, peaking 
  during the mid afternoon hours and continuing through the 
  evening.

* WINDS...30 to 40 mph wind will be common with gusts over 70 mph
  in the higher terrain.

* Impacts...Damaging winds could blow down trees and power 
  lines. Power outages are possible. The very high wind gusts 
  will result in a danger for hikers, campers, or anyone 
  recreating in the higher elevations of the eastern Sierra in 
  Inyo County.
