the Lee Creek near Van Buren.
* From Thursday morning to Thursday evening.
* At 6:32 AM CDT Wednesday the stage was 391.9 feet.
* Flood stage is 401.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
tomorrow morning to a crest of 403.2 feet early tomorrow
afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage tomorrow afternoon.
* Impact...At 404.0 feet, Tailwater Park is inundated. Some
permanent structures in the park are flooded. A recreational
vehicle campground near Rena Road may be flooded. Rena Road is
inundated by high water just east of the bridge over Lee Creek.

* From Thursday afternoon to Saturday evening.
* At 9:00 AM CDT Wednesday the stage was 19.5 feet.
* Flood stage is 22.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage early
tomorrow afternoon to a crest of 24.8 feet early Friday afternoon.
It will then fall below flood stage Saturday afternoon.
* Impact...At 25.0 feet, extensive agricultural lowland flooding
occurs along the shoreline from Van Buren downstream to Lavaca.
Some rural roads near Lavaca are impassable. Much of Kelley Park
northwest of downtown Fort Smith is flooded.

* Flood stage is 357.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage late
tomorrow evening to a crest of 358.1 feet Friday morning. It will
then fall below flood stage early Saturday morning.
* Impact...At 360.0 feet, flooding spreads over more than 4,000
acres in Franklin and Logan Counties. Numerous gas fields are
flooded. Some agricultural lands in Johnson County also are
flooded.

* From Thursday afternoon to Friday morning.
* At 8:00 PM CDT Wednesday the stage was 347.0 feet.
* Flood stage is 357.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage early
tomorrow afternoon to a crest of 358.2 feet tomorrow evening. It
will then fall below flood stage early Friday morning.
* Impact...At 357.0 feet, flooding affects agricultural use lands
along the river downstream of the lock and dam in Franklin County.
Gas fields are also subject to flooding downstream. Equipment and
livestock should be moved to higher ground. North 5th Street in
Logan County near the Six Mile Levee begins to flood and may cut
off access to a nearby residence.

* Impact...At 27.0 feet, extensive lowland flooding occurs east of
the I-540 bridge to Vache Grasse Creek. Sand and gravel companies,
marine terminals, and similar businesses in the floodplain begin
to flood. The lowest seating rows in the Kelley Park amphitheater
are covered by high water.

* Impact...At 365.0 feet, County Roads 228 and 4 south of Coal Hill
in Johnson County are inundated. Roads northeast of Scranton in
Logan County are inundated by backwater up Cane Creek. This is an
extremely dangerous and life threatening situation.

* Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 362.8 feet
just after midnight tonight. It will then fall below flood stage
tomorrow evening.
* Impact...At 363.0 feet, patrolling of McLean Bottom Levee in Logan
County and Lower Hartman Levee in Johnson County begins. Flooding
spreads over more than 4,000 acres in Franklin and Logan Counties.
Numerous gas fields are flooded. Some agricultural lands in
Johnson County also are flooded.
