The National Weather Service in Tallahassee has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
  Central Walton County in the Panhandle of Florida...

* Until 500 PM CDT.

* At 424 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated a line of severe
  thunderstorms capable of producing damaging winds in excess of 60
  mph. These storms were located along a line extending from De
  Funiak Springs to 10 miles northeast of Santa Rosa Beach, and
  moving northwest at 5 mph.

* Locations impacted include...
  De Funiak Springs, Eglin Air Force Base, Liberty, Oakwood Hills,
  Cluster Springs, Sand Hill, Alpine Heights, De Funiak Spring
  Airport, Rock Hill, Pleasant Ridge, Center Ridge, New Home and
  Piney Grove.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Severe thunderstorms produce damaging winds, destructive hail, deadly
lightning and very heavy rain. For your protection, move to an
interior room on the lowest floor of your home or business. Heavy
rains flood roads quickly so do not drive into areas where water
covers the road.

Torrential rainfall is also occurring with these storms, and may lead
to flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
