.A winter storm continues to move through interior northern 
California bringing periods of heavy snow to the southern 
Cascades and northern Sierra. There could be a period of lighter 
scattered snow showers overnight tonight before another wave of 
precipitation will bring moderate to heavy snowfall early tomorrow
morning through tomorrow afternoon. Snow levels will drop to 4000
to 4500 feet by tonight, and will fall to 2000 to 3000 feet by 
early tomorrow morning. Snow levels down to 2000 feet could bring 
a few inches of snow to Interstate 5 north of Redding tomorrow 
morning. Moderate to heavy snow will make mountain travel 
difficult at times, with chain controls and reduced visibility.
