...Thunderstorms with Abundant Lightning and Little Rainfall
Tonight through Monday...

.Monsoonal moisture moving up from the south will bring the
potential for isolated to scattered thunderstorms with abundant 
lightning and little rainfall across portions of interior northern
California tonight and Monday. Given critically dry fuels, any 
lightning strikes will result in a high probability of ignition. 
The best potential for thunderstorms will be over the northern San
Joaquin Valley and the northern Sierra south of Interstate 80, so
a Red Flag Warning has been issued for those areas. Other 
locations could also see a lesser threat of some isolated 
thunderstorms with little rainfall.

The National Weather Service in Sacramento has cancelled the Fire
Weather Watch. 

* AFFECTED AREA...Southwestern fire weather zone 219. Fire 
  weather zone 221.

* WIND...Gusty and erratic winds are possible near any 
  thunderstorms.

* THUNDERSTORMS...Isolated to scattered thunderstorms may develop
  later this afternoon into Monday. Best chance for thunderstorms
  will be late this afternoon and evening. 

* IMPACTS...Potential for fire starts with any lightning. Rapid
  spread of fire possible depending on terrain and local wind
  conditions.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are either occurring now, or will shortly. A combination of
strong winds, low relative humidity, and warm temperatures can
contribute to extreme fire behavior.

The National Weather Service in Sacramento has cancelled the Fire
Weather Watch. 

Most thunderstorm activity is expected to remain east of the
Sierra Crest or south of Interstate 80, so the Fire Weather Watch
has been cancelled for the rest of the area. The potential for 
some isolated thunderstorms remain though, and any storms that 
develop may have limited rainfall.

Monday. The Fire Weather Watch is no longer in effect.

  thunderstorms. 

* THUNDERSTORMS...Isolated to scattered thunderstorms may 
  develop later this afternoon into Monday. Best chance for 
  thunderstorms will be tonight into Monday morning with a 
  continuing threat Monday afternoon over the mountains.
