* Flash Flood Warning for...
Southeastern Panola County in northeastern Texas...
* Until 1130 PM CDT.
* At 826 PM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated
thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between
2 and 5 inches of rain have fallen since this afternoon,
especially over Southern and Eastern Panola County. Flash flooding
is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.
SOURCE...Doppler radar and automated gauges.
IMPACT...Flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
highways, streets and underpasses as well as other
drainage and low lying areas.
* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
Carthage, Gary City, Deadwood, Front, Woods and Midyett.
Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are possible in the
warned area through 1130 PM.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

EVENING FOR SOUTHEASTERN PANOLA COUNTY...
At 1031 PM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated
thunderstorms producing heavy rain across much of the warned area.
Between 4 and 8 inches of rain have fallen since this afternoon,
with two day rainfall amounts of 6 to in excess of 12 inches having
fallen. Flash flooding is already occurring, with multiple roads
flooded and closed across Southern and Eastern Panola County.
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.
SOURCE...Doppler radar and automated gauges.
IMPACT...Flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
highways, streets and underpasses as well as other
drainage and low lying areas.
Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
