PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

* Flood stage is 22.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage just
after midnight tonight to a crest of 22.6 feet just after midnight
tonight. It will then fall below flood stage just after midnight
tonight.
* Impact...At 22.0 feet, minor flooding begins at the gage site.
Flood waters mainly affect farmland along the Little Osage River
Basin between the gage site and Highway 31 west of Fulton.
* Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 22.6
feet on 06/10/2008.

* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 30.8 feet
early Friday morning. It will then fall below flood stage late
Saturday evening.
* Impact...At 31.0 feet, flood waters impact low lying areas west of
Schell City. County roads west and north of Route M become
flooded. The Four River Conservation Area 10 miles west of Schell
City floods.
* Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 30.8
feet on 05/02/2016.

* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river will fall below flood stage this evening to
40.5 feet and then begin rising tomorrow morning. It will then
rise above flood stage early tomorrow afternoon to 42.1 feet early
Friday morning. It will fall below flood stage again late Friday
evening.
* Impact...At 41.0 feet, minor flooding affects low lying areas near
the gage site and farmland along the river.
