Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.

* At 10:01 AM CDT Thursday the stage was 38.2 feet.
* Flood stage is 38.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 38.3 feet
this afternoon.
* Impact...At 38.0 feet, minor flooding begins along Mill Creek
north of town due to backwater effects of the Marmaton River.
Flood waters also spill across the field by the Red Barn
Restaurant, on the north side of town, at the new Highway 69
Bridge.

* At 7:46 PM CDT Thursday the stage was 38.5 feet.
* Flood stage is 38.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring.
* Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage late
this evening and continue falling to 17.3 feet Tuesday evening.
* Impact...At 34.0 feet, flood waters begin to impact the county
road, or low water crossing on Mill Creek, between Maple Road and
Highway 54, on 205th street, northwest of town. This occurs based
on backwater affects on the Marmaton River.

the Little Osage River at Fulton.
* At 7:46 PM CDT Thursday the stage was 26.9 feet.
* Flood stage is 22.0 feet.
* Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage
tomorrow morning and continue falling to 4.8 feet Tuesday evening.
* Impact...At 25.0 feet, moderate flooding begins at the gage site.
Farmland at the gage site becomes covered by flood waters, and
Highway 31, east of town becomes flooded. Highway 31, four miles
west of Fulton has flood waters four to six feet in depth.
