* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Barry County in southwestern Missouri...
  Southeastern Jasper County in southwestern Missouri...
  Lawrence County in southwestern Missouri...
  Northwestern Stone County in southwestern Missouri...

* Until 100 AM CDT Thursday.

* At 650 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing 
  heavy rain across the warned area. Between 2 and 3 inches of rain 
  have fallen. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin 
  shortly.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
           areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
           other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Monett, Aurora, Mount Vernon, Cassville, Marionville, Crane, 
  Sarcoxie and Purdy.

This includes the following low water crossings...
  Route P at Spring Creek north of Verona, County Road 2220 west of 
  Verona, Route C just south of Mcdowell, Route U, 8 miles east of 
  Purdy, Route U, 1 Mile east of Butterfield, Farm Road 2130 at The 
  Spring River west of Mount Vernon and Highway 97 just south of 
  Stotts City.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.
