...The National Weather Service in Seattle WA has issued a Flood 
Warning for the following rivers in Washington...

  South Fork Nooksack River At Saxon Bridge affecting Whatcom 
  County.

  Stillaguamish River At Arlington affecting Snohomish County.

  Skykomish River Near Gold Bar affecting Snohomish County.

.Rain will continue through the rest of today and into early Friday 
morning. These rivers will continue to rise through the night and 
are expected to reach flood stage by tonight.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.

Stay tuned to further developments by listening to your local radio, 
television, or NOAA Weather Radio for further information.

Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.

* From this evening to late tomorrow morning.
* At 2:00 PM PDT Thursday the stage was 6.7 feet.
* Flood stage is 8.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage this 
  evening to a crest of 8.3 feet late this evening. It will then 
  fall below flood stage just after midnight tonight.
* Impact...At 8.0 feet, the Nooksack River floodwaters will inundate 
  much of the low farm lands along the river...with water over some 
  roadways...including potentially Highway 9 north of Acme.
* Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 8.5 
  feet on 01/08/2009.

* Flood stage is 15.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage this 
  evening to a crest of 15.5 feet late this evening. It will then 
  fall below flood stage late tonight.
* Impact...At 15.0 feet, the Skykomish River will cause minor 
  flooding of low pasture lands and low lying roads...including 
  Index-Galena Rd and Tualco Loop Rd.  A stage of 15 feet on the 
  Skykomish River corresponds to a Phase 2 in the Snohomish County 
  flood program.
* Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 15.5 
  feet on 11/01/1977.

* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage this 
  evening to a crest of 15.7 feet late tonight. It will then fall 
  below flood stage late tomorrow morning.
* Impact...At 14.0 feet, the Stillaguamish River will locally spill 
  over its banks.  Minor flooding around Silvana will occur...
  including over Pioneer Highway.  A stage of 14 feet on the 
  Stillaguamish River corresponds roughly to Phase 2 in the 
  Snohomish County Flood program.
* Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 16.1 
  feet on 12/29/1998.

last 12 hours ending at 9 pm Thursday will push the Skykomish River 
above moderate flood stage.

* Flood stage is 15.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast.
* Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending 
  at 9:30 PM PDT Thursday was 16.8 feet.
* Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 17.3 feet 
  late tonight. It will then fall below flood stage late tomorrow 
  morning.
* Impact...At 17.0 feet, the Skykomish River will cause flooding 
  from near Index downstream through Sultan to the Snoqualmie.  
  Flood waters will cover numerous roads...including Ben Howard Rd...
  Index-Galena Rd and Tualco Loop Rd.  Flooding in the town of 
  Sultan will begin.  A stage of 17 feet on the Skykomish River 
  corresponds to a Phase 3 in the Snohomish County flood program.
* Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 17.3 
  feet on 11/20/1959.

.Heavy rain came to an end over the North Central Cascades early 
Friday morning. Three to five inches of rain fell on Thursday. 
Lighter rain will continue this morning before the rain band drops 
south late this morning and this afternoon.

* Forecast...The river has fallen below flood flow and will continue 
  to fall. Flooding downstream will continue until the flood wave 
  has completely passed out of the area.
* Impact...At 20000.0 cfs, the Snoqualmie River will cause 
  widespread flooding of pasture lands and roads along the river 
  from the town of Snoqualmie downstream through Fall City. Roads 
  that may become flooded include Fall City-Carnation...Tolt Hill...
  and Novelty Flats Roads. This river level on the Snoqualmie 
  corresponds roughly to a phase 3 flood in the King County flood 
  system.
* Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 19500.0 
  cfs on 10/26/2009.
