  The City of Martinsville in south central Virginia...
  Southeastern Henry County in south central Virginia...

* Until 715 PM EDT.
    
* At 647 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado
  was located near Chatmoss, or near Martinsville, moving northeast
  at 30 mph.

  HAZARD...Tornado and quarter size hail.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.

  IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without 
           shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. 
           Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur.  Tree 
           damage is likely.

...THE TORNADO WARNING FOR SOUTHWESTERN PITTSYLVANIA AND 
SOUTHEASTERN HENRY COUNTIES AND THE CITY OF MARTINSVILLE WILL EXPIRE 
AT 715 PM EDT...
    
The tornadic thunderstorm which prompted the warning has weakened. 
Therefore, the warning will be allowed to expire.  However gusty 
winds are still possible with this thunderstorm.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 100 AM EDT for
north central North Carolina...and central and south central
Virginia.

Remember, a Severe Thunderstorm Warning still remains in effect for
portions of Henry and Pittsylvania counties.
