Central Bedford County in south central Virginia...
* Until 945 PM EDT.
* At 646 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
very heavy rain along U.S. 460 and vicinity near Thaxton and
Bedford. Between 1.5 and 2 inches of rain have already fallen
during the past hour. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches
are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or
expected to begin shortly.
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

At 749 PM EDT, Rainfall has diminished across central and eastern
Bedford county. However, rainfall amounts of 1.5 to 2.0 inches were
common along and near U.S. 460 between Thaxton and Bedford. Flash
flooding remains a possibility in these areas.
