  Northwestern Buchanan County in southwestern Virginia...

* Until 930 PM EDT.

* At 623 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing 
  heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1.5 and 2.5 inches of 
  rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 1.5 inches 
  are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or 
  expected to begin shortly.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

  IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
           areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
           other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

EVENING FOR NORTHWESTERN BUCHANAN COUNTY...

At 734 PM EDT, the public reported flash flooding along US 460 in 
the Big Rock community. Between 2 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. 
While the rain has ended for now, runoff from heavy rainfall from 
the earlier storms may continue to cause flash flooding in the 
warned area.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.
