...The National Weather Service in Reno NV has issued a Flood 
Warning for the following rivers in California...

  Truckee River Near Truckee affecting Nevada and Placer Counties.

.An on going atmospheric river storm continues to provide copious 
amounts of rainfall across the region. The Truckee River near 
Truckee has risen more rapidly than anticipated. Rapid rises are 
expected with additional heavy rainfall forecast to continue through 
tonight. Higher rises are possible if precipitation out performs the 
current forecast or the rain-snow transition is delayed.

For the Truckee River...Near Truckee...Minor flooding is forecast. 
Main concerns are from Alpine Meadows to Glenshire.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive 
cars through flooded areas.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.

The National Weather Service in Reno has issued a

* Flood Warning for
  the Truckee River Near Truckee.
* From this evening to tomorrow evening.
* At 2:45 PM PDT Sunday the stage was 3.4 feet.
* Flood stage is 5.5 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage late 
  this evening to a crest of 6.0 feet late this evening. It will 
  then fall below flood stage just after midnight tonight.
* Impact...At 5.5 feet, Flood stage.  Minor flooding from Alpine 
  Meadows to Truckee. Minor flooding of landscapes, basements and 
  crawlspaces in low lying properties.   Riverside campgrounds may 
  be impacted by flooding from small tributaries and overland flow.
* Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 6.43 
  feet on 1/9/2017.

The Flood Warning is cancelled for
  the Truckee River Near Truckee.
* At 1 AM PDT Monday the stage was 4.2 feet.
* Flood stage is 5.5 feet.
* Rain recently changed to snow, resulting in reduced runoff into 
  the Truckee River. The river peaked at 4.5 feet late Sunday 
  evening and has begun falling.
* Forecast...The river is expected to continue falling through 
  today. Therefore the flood warning as been cancelled.
