PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.

  the Neuse River Near Clayton.
* From Saturday, February 27 until further notice.
* At 1:15 PM EST Tuesday the stage was 9.1 feet.
* Flood stage is 9.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage Sunday 
  morning and continue rising to a crest of 9.2 feet early Thursday 
  morning.
* Impact...At 9.0 feet, Minor overflow occurs on both banks. Water 
  reaches the edge of the Neuse River Greenway trail.
* Impact...At 10.0 feet, The Neuse River Greenway at Covered Bridge 
  Road begins to flood.
* Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 9.3 
  feet on 10/12/2018.

* Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage late 
  Wednesday morning and continue falling to 25.0 feet Sunday morning.
* Impact...At 28.0 feet, Minor flooding begins, especially on the 
  left bank.
* Impact...At 31.0 feet, There is widespread flooding on the left 
  banks.
* Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 29.9 
  feet on 05/07/2017.
