At 500 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm 11 miles northeast of La Garita, or 31 miles southwest of Hayden Pass Burn Scar, moving south at 15 mph. Pea size hail and wind gusts up to 50 mph will be possible with this storm along with torrential rainfall. Radar estimates up to 2 inches per hour with this storm. This storm will remain over mainly rural areas of south central Saguache County east of highway 285. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm, and may lead to localized flooding.
