* Flash Flood Warning for...
Central Chaffee County in central Colorado...
* Until 345 PM MDT.
* At 1245 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain across the warned area. Up to 0.5 to 1 inch of rain has
fallen. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.
Excessive rainfall over the warning area will cause mud slides near
steep terrain. The mud slide can consist of rock, mud, vegetation
and other loose materials.
HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms
producing flash flooding.

...FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 345 PM MDT THIS
AFTERNOON FOR CENTRAL CHAFFEE COUNTY...
At 233 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms that produced
heavy rain across the warned area has shifted south of the Chalk
Cliffs. Radar estimates of that between 1 and 2 inches of rain fell.
At this time, light to moderate rainfall will continue over this
area for the next hour. Flash flooding is likely ongoing or
expected to begin shortly.
Excessive rainfall over the warning area will cause mud slides near
steep terrain. The mud slide can consist of rock, mud, vegetation
and other loose materials.
HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing
flash flooding.
