Central Sussex County in northwestern New Jersey...
* Until 930 PM EDT.
* At 627 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms moving across portions of the area. Rain rates of
one to two inches per hour can be expected. Minor flooding is
ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area.
* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Newton, Franklin, Hamburg, Ogdensburg, Branchville, Pellettown,
Crandon Lakes, Highland Lake, and Five Points.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are
potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded
roads. Find an alternate route.
