The National Weather Service in Norman has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  South Central Oklahoma County in central Oklahoma...

* Until 745 PM CDT.

* At 432 PM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated 
  thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 
  1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen. Flash flooding is ongoing or 
  expected to begin shortly.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

  SOURCE...Doppler radar and automated gauges.

  IMPACT...Flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
           highways, streets and underpasses as well as other
           drainage and low lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Southeastern Oklahoma City, Midwest City, Del City, Valley Brook 
  and Smith Village.

This includes the following highways...
	Interstate 35 between mile markers 128 and 130.
	Interstate 40 between mile markers 154 and 156.

Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 1.5 inches are possible in the 
warned area.

...FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 745 PM CDT THIS 
EVENING FOR SOUTH CENTRAL OKLAHOMA COUNTY...

At 520 PM CDT, the Del City Fire Department reported a motorist 
stranded at the 3500 block of Southeast 27th in the area of Cherry 
Creek Bridge. Between 2 and 2.5 inches of rain have fallen. Flash 
flooding is already occurring.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

SOURCE...Fire department/rescue.

IMPACT...Flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
         highways, streets and underpasses as well as other
         drainage and low lying areas.

Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
Southeastern Oklahoma City, Midwest City, Del City, Valley Brook and 
Smith Village.

This includes the following streams and drainages...
  Crooked Oak Creek and North Canadian River.
