...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL AFFECT NORTHEASTERN NEW LONDON
COUNTY...
At 512 PM EDT, a strong thunderstorm was located over Griswold, or
near Jewett City, moving east at 15 mph.
Wind gusts up to 50 mph and half inch hail are possible with this
storm.
Locations impacted include...
Jewett City, Norwich, Griswold, Preston, Lisbon, Voluntown and North
Stonington.
Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm, and may cause
localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded
roadways.
Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
