...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in New 
York...

  Wallkill River near Gardiner affecting Orange and Ulster Counties.

For the Wallkill River...including Gardiner...Minor flooding is 
forecast.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive 
cars through flooded areas.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.

Flooding is occurring or is imminent. Most flood related deaths 
occur in automobiles. Do not attempt to cross water covered bridges, 
dips, or low water crossings. Never try to cross a flowing stream, 
even a small one, on foot. To escape rising water find another route 
over higher ground.

Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law 
enforcement and request they pass this information to the National 
Weather Service when you can do so safely.

...The Flood Warning is now in effect until late this evening...

The Flood Warning continues for
  the Wallkill River near Gardiner.
* Until late this evening.
* At 5:00 AM EDT Thursday the stage was 12.3 feet.
* Flood stage is 13.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage this 
  morning to a crest of 13.5 feet this morning. It will then fall 
  below flood stage late this morning.
* Impact...At 13.0 feet, Springtown Road, Libertyville Road, and 
  Route 299 near New Paltz become inundated. Flooding begins at the 
  worstead mill in Montgomery. Bridge Street near state route 17k in 
  Montgomery becomes inundated.
* Impact...At 14.0 feet, The "black dirt" farmlands, far upriver in 
  the heart of Orange County, begin to flood.
* Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 13.8 
  feet on 04/03/2005.
