...HEAVY SNOW ACROSS SOUTHERN MINNESOTA LATE TONIGHT INTO
MONDAY...

.A Winter Storm Warning is in effect from 1 AM tonight to 4 PM
CDT Monday for areas south of a line from Redwood Falls to
Mankato and Waseca. A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for
the rest of southern Minnesota from 4 AM to 4 PM CDT Monday.

A band of precipitation will lift northeast into southern
Minnesota tonight, quickly becoming all snow. Heavy, wet snow is
expected with rates of over an inch per hour possible. The snow 
will taper off during the late morning into early afternoon on 
Monday. Total accumulations of 5 to 8 inches are expected in the 
warning area with 3 to 5 inches expected in the advisory area.
Snow accumulations will vary significantly over relatively short 
distances due to localized heavier snow.

west central and east central Minnesota through this afternoon.

A band of moderate to heavy snow will lift northeast into 
southern Minnesota early this morning, and then continue to lift 
north into central Minnesota by late morning. Heavy, wet snow is 
expected with rates of over an inch per hour possible. The snow 
will taper off during the late afternoon on Monday, although a 
period of freezing drizzle may occur this evening. Total 
accumulations of 5 to 8 inches are expected in the warning area 
with 3 to 5 inches expected in the advisory area. Snowfall totals 
will decrease rapidly north of the Advisory area.

...A VERY TIGHT GRADIENT IN TOTAL SNOWFALL EXPECTED JUST WEST OF
THE MISSISSIPPI RIVER...

.A Winter Storm Warning is in effect through this afternoon for
areas south of a line from Redwood Falls to Hutchinson, Chaska,
and Faribault. Winter Weather Advisories are in effect for areas
just north of the Winter Storm Warning.

A band of moderate to heavy snow will continue to lift northeast 
this morning, then stall just west of the Mississippi River late
morning. It will resume its track to the northeast late this 
afternoon while it weakens in intensity. Rates of over an inch per
hour are possible in the warning area. Occasional light snow or 
freezing drizzle are possible this evening. 

Total accumulations of 5 to 9 inches are expected in the warning 
area with 3 to 5 inches expected in the advisory area. Amounts 
will diminish quickly near and east of the Mississippi River, 
although an inch or two are possible into Wisconsin late this 
afternoon and evening.

GRADIENT IN TOTAL SNOWFALL EXPECTED JUST WEST OF THE MISSISSIPPI
RIVER...

.A Winter Storm Warning remains in effect through this afternoon 
for areas north of a line from Redwood Falls to Mankato, and 
Albert Lea. The Winter Storm warning south of this line has been
cancelled. Winter Weather Advisories are in effect for areas just
north of the Winter Storm Warning.

A band of moderate to heavy snow will continue this afternoon. It
will resume its track to the northeast late this afternoon while 
it weakens in intensity. Rates of over an inch per hour are 
possible in the warning area. Occasional light snow or freezing 
drizzle are possible this evening.

Total accumulations of 5 to 9 inches are expected in the warning
area with 3 to 5 inches expected in the advisory area. Amounts
will diminish quickly near and east of the Mississippi River,
although an inch or two are possible into Wisconsin late this
afternoon and evening.

...SNOW WINDING DOWN OVER EAST CENTRAL MINNESOTA AND WEST CENTRAL
WISCONSIN LATE THIS EVENING...

.The Winter Storm Warning has been canceled as the threat for
heavy snow has ended. A Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect
until 10 PM CDT for areas along a Litchfield to Twin Cities to 
Eau Claire line.

Snowfall rates will gradually taper off through the remainder of
the evening, with freezing drizzle remaining possible as the snow
tapers.

Total accumulations of 5 to 10 inches are expected in the warning
area with 3 to 5 inches expected in the advisory area.
