Warning for the following rivers in Mississippi...

  Tombigbee River near Amory

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive 
cars through flooded areas.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.

The National Weather Service in Memphis has issued a

* Flood Warning for
  the Tombigbee River near Amory.
* From this evening to Friday morning.
* At 4:15 PM CST Thursday the stage was 18.2 feet.
* Flood stage is 20.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage late 
  this evening to a crest of 20.4 feet just after midnight tonight. 
  It will then fall below flood stage early tomorrow morning.
* Impact...At 20.0 feet, Lowland flooding begins.
* Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 20.3 
  feet on 01/20/1988.
