Northwestern Prentiss County in northeastern Mississippi...
* Until 1130 PM CDT.
* At 829 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain across the warned area. Between 2 and 3 inches of rain
have fallen. The expected rainfall rate is 1 to 3 inches in 2
hours. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

EVENING FOR NORTHWESTERN PRENTISS COUNTY...
At 1024 PM CDT, most of the heavy rainfall had moved out of the
warned area, but runoff from earlier training thunderstorms will
continue to produce flash flooding across northern Prentiss County,
including the community of Booneville. Between 2 and 4 inches of
rain have fallen. Flash flooding is already occurring.
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.
SOURCE...Law enforcement reported.
IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor
drainage and low-lying areas.
Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
Booneville, Jumpertown, Thrashers, Rienzi, Gaston and Blackland.
County Road 1021 was flooded north of Booneville.
