The National Weather Service in Memphis has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Central Lee County in northeastern Mississippi...
  East Central Pontotoc County in northeastern Mississippi...

* Until 1215 AM CDT.

* At 936 PM CDT, local law enforcement reported several roads in the 
  Tupelo and Verona areas are flooded. In addition, water has 
  reached the doorways of several homes on Crabapple Drive in the 
  central Tupelo area.
  Between 3 and 4 inches of rain have fallen. Flash flooding is 
  ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

  SOURCE...Law enforcement.

  IMPACT...Flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
           highways, streets and underpasses as well as other
           drainage and low lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Tupelo, Pontotoc, Verona, Trace State Park, Saltillo, 
  Plantersville, Furrs, Troy, Algoma, Bissell, Chesterville, Belden,

producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 3 and 4 inches 
of rain have fallen. Flash flooding is already occurring.
