...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Texas...

  Colorado River at Colorado City 1WSW affecting Mitchell County.

.5-6 Inches of rain have fallen in the Colorado River watershed over 
the past 18 hours, and will result in minor flooding on the Colorado 
River.

For the Colorado River...including Colorado City 1WSW...Minor 
flooding is forecast.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.

Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law 
enforcement and request they pass this information to the National 
Weather Service when you can do so safely.

...The Flood Warning remains in effect...

The Flood Warning continues for
  the Colorado River at Colorado City 1WSW.
* From this evening to early Monday morning.
* At 9:15 AM CDT Saturday the stage was 11.4 feet.
* Flood stage is 15.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage this 
  evening to a crest of 16.3 feet just after midnight tonight. It 
  will then fall below flood stage early tomorrow afternoon.
* Impact...At 12.0 feet, The river overflows its banks.  This will 
  result in some minor flooding of ranch land and fence posts. 
  Ranchers should move livestock out of the flood plain to higher 
  ground.  No structures are threatened at this stage.
* Impact...At 14.0 feet, Minor flooding of farm and ranch land 
  begins.  No buildings or other structures are threatened.

...Observed flooding changed to Minor severity and increased in 
duration for the following rivers in Texas...

  Colorado River at Colorado City 1WSW affecting Mitchell County.

.Runoff from last night's heavy rain continues to keep the Colorado 
River at Colorado City in minor flood. The levels will decrease 
through the night falling below flood stage around 1 AM Sunday 
morning.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive 
cars through flooded areas.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.

* At 8:15 PM CDT Saturday the stage was 15.0 feet.
* Flood stage is 15.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring.
* Recent Activity...The maximum river stage in the 24 hours ending 
  at 8:15 PM CDT Saturday was 15.3 feet.
* Forecast...The river is expected to fall to around 5 feet late 
  Sunday.
* Impact...At 12.0 feet, The river overflows its banks.  This will 
  result in some minor flooding of ranch land and fence posts. 
  Ranchers should move livestock out of the flood plain to higher 
  ground.  No structures are threatened at this stage.
* Impact...At 14.0 feet, Minor flooding of farm and ranch land 
  begins.  No buildings or other structures are threatened.
* Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 15.8 
  feet on 11/07/2016.
