* At 425 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain across the warned area. The expected rainfall rate is
0.5 to 1.5 inches in 2 hours. Flash flooding is ongoing or
expected to begin shortly.
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

EVENING FOR SOUTHEASTERN HOWARD AND MITCHELL COUNTIES...
At 533 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy
rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 2.5 inches of rain have
fallen. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor
drainage and low-lying areas.
Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
Colorado City, Lake Colorado City State Park, Lake Colorado City,
Champion Creek Reservoir and Westbrook.
Tributaries of Beals Creek and Wild Horse Creek could see sudden
increases and flooding. More rain is expected to move into the area
in the next few hours. Make sure to avoid any low lying areas.
