* Flash Flood Warning for...
Northern Polk County in western Arkansas...
* Until 840 PM CDT.
* At 645 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain across the warned area. Between 2 and 3 inches of rain
have fallen. Prior heavy rainfall within the last six hours has
likely led to a saturated soil surface, and flash flooding is
likely ongoing or expected to begin shortly.
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.
SOURCE...Doppler radar.
IMPACT...Flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
highways, streets and underpasses as well as other
drainage and low lying areas.

Mena, Hatfield, Polk County Fairgrounds, Mena Intermountain
Airport, Queen Wilhelmina State Park, Mccauley, Mountain Fork,

* At 739 PM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated
thunderstorms producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between
2 and 3 inches of rain have already fallen, particularly over far
northwestern Polk county, and the city of Mena, where at 730 PM
CDT, some street flooding was reported from local law enforcement.
Flash flooding is ongoing over the warned area.
