three miles west of Quitaque. This storm is nearly stationary over
the town of Quitaque. Up to 2.5 inches of rain have fallen.
Additional rainfall amounts up to 2 inches are possible in the
warned area. Flash flooding is already occurring.

SOUTHWESTERN HALL COUNTIES...
At 820 PM CDT, Emergency management reported flooding of US-86 three
miles west of Quitaque. Up to 3 inches of rain have fallen. Flash
flooding is already occurring.
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.
SOURCE...Emergency management reported.
IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor
drainage and low-lying areas.
Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
Turkey, Caprock Canyon State Park, Quitaque and Valley Schools.
Additional thunderstorms producing heavy rain are located near
Silverton and are moving slowly eastward. Heavy rain may move into
the warned area within the next hour leading to additional flooding.
