  Mississippi River at Grafton.

River forecasts are based on observed precipitation and forecast 
precipitation for the next 24 hours.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive 
cars through flooded areas.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.

* At 9:00 PM CDT Sunday the stage was 19.2 feet.
* Flood stage is 21.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage late 
  tomorrow morning to a crest of 23.5 feet early Wednesday morning. 
  It will then fall below flood stage late Friday evening.
* Impact...At 23.0 feet, Dresser Island Drive floods within a foot 
  of this level.

* At 8:00 PM CDT Sunday the stage was 14.0 feet.
* Flood stage is 15.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage early 
  tomorrow afternoon to a crest of 15.4 feet early Tuesday 
  afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage early Thursday 
  morning.
* Impact...At 14.0 feet, Both banks begin to overflow.  Minor 
  damages begin.
* Impact...At 15.6 feet, North Front Street and the first 2-3 
  campsites in Mississippi Park begin flooding at this height.

* Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage 
  tomorrow afternoon and continue rising to a crest of 31.8 feet 
  Thursday evening.
* Impact...At 31.5 feet, In Perry County, Highway E is closed 
  between County Road 322 and Levee Road (County Road 354) at Bois 
  Brule Creek.

* From late Monday night to Sunday afternoon.
* At 9:00 PM CDT Sunday the stage was 18.3 feet.
* Flood stage is 20.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage early 
  Tuesday morning to a crest of 21.3 feet Wednesday evening. It will 
  then fall below flood stage late Saturday morning.
* Impact...At 21.0 feet, Water begins flooding the floor at the 
  Palisades Marina in Portage Des Sioux.  Access to homes along 
  North Shore Drive in eastern St. Charles County becomes cut off 
  near this height.
* Impact...At 21.5 feet, In Portage des Sioux, MO, Le Sieur Street 
  leading to the Marina and to Our Lady of the River Statue is 
  flooded.
