Central Calhoun County in southwestern Illinois...
* Until 1015 PM CDT Saturday.
* At 408 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain across the warned area. Up to four inches of rain has
already fallen. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly.
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

IMPACT...Flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
highways, streets and underpasses as well as other
drainage and low lying areas.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood

...THE FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1015 PM CDT
SATURDAY FOR CENTRAL CALHOUN COUNTY...
At 430 PM CDT, law enforcement reported numerous roads were flooded
between Hamburg, Hardin, Batchtown and Meppen. Most of the flooding
has subsided as of 630 pm. Up to five inches of rain has already
fallen. However, another area of showers and storms will move
through with additional heavy rainfall possible.
HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.
SOURCE...Law enforcement.

highways, streets and underpasses as well as other drainage
and low lying areas.
