...WIND ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 4 AM PST FRIDAY...

* WHAT...South to southeast winds 20 to 35 mph with gusts up to 
  50 mph. Local gusts to 60 mph along the foothills.

* WHERE...Antelope Valley.

* WHEN...Until 4 AM PST Friday.

* IMPACTS...Gusty winds and reduced visibility from blowing dust 
  will make driving difficult. Gusty winds could blow around 
  unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few 
  power outages may result.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Secure outdoor objects. Gusty winds will make driving difficult, 
especially for high profile vehicles. This includes Highways 14 
and 138, especially near the foothills.

...HIGH WIND WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL MIDNIGHT PST TONIGHT...

* WHAT...South winds 30 to 45 mph with gusts up to 75 mph.

* WHERE...Antelope Valley.

* WHEN...Until midnight PST tonight.

* IMPACTS...Damaging winds will blow down large objects such as 
  trees and power lines. Power outages are expected. Travel will 
  be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...A mountain wave has set up over the San
  Gabriel Mountains causing very strong winds to occur across the
  adjacent foothills in the Antelope Valley. Strongest winds will
  be between and Llano especially for areas South of Highway 138.
  A NWS spotter reported gusts up to 80 mph near Pearblossom with
  blowing dust and small rocks. Winds should lower overnight.
  

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Areas of blowing dust and small debris can suddenly and 
dangerously reduce visibilities to near zero. Use caution if you 
must drive. This includes Highways 14 and 138, especially near the
foothills.
