The National Weather Service in Louisville has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Central Clark County in central Kentucky...

* Until 100 AM EDT.

* At 1002 PM EDT, Emergency Management reported thunderstorms 
  producing heavy rain across the warned area. Between 1 and 2 
  inches of rain have fallen. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 
  1.5 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is 
  already occurring.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

  SOURCE...Emergency management reported.

  IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
           areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
           other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Winchester, Lyndale, Pinchem, Constant Station, Flanagan, Forest 
  Grove, Hunt, Haggard, Elkin, and Pretty Run.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the 
dangers of flooding.

...FLASH FLOOD WARNING AT 1 AM EDT EARLY THIS MORNING FOR CENTRAL 
CLARK COUNTY HAS BEEN REPLACED WITH A FLOOD ADVISORY...

Flash flooding was reported in downtown Winchester at 1130 PM. Even 
though the heavy rain has ended, water will take some time to 
recede. Therefore the warning has been replaced with a Flood 
Advisory, in effect until 3 AM.
