* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Southern Elko County in northeastern Nevada...

* Until 1245 AM PDT.

* At 653 PM PDT, local law enforcement and US Forest Service 
  reported flooding and debris slides in Lamoille Canyon due to 
  heavy rain that fell earlier in the day.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

  SOURCE...Law enforcement and US Forest Service reported.

  IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
           areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
           other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Lamoille, Lamoille Creek and Lamoille Canyon Road.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood 
deaths occur in vehicles.

Move away from recently burned areas. Life-threatening flooding of 
creeks, roads and normally dry arroyos is likely. The heavy rains 
will likely trigger rockslides, mudslides and debris flows in steep 
terrain, especially in and around these areas.

Flooding is occurring or is imminent. It is important to know where 
you are relative to streams, rivers, or creeks which can become 
killers in heavy rains. Campers and hikers should avoid streams or 
creeks.

The National Weather Service in Elko has extended the

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Southern Elko County in northeastern Nevada...

* Until 700 AM PDT Monday.

* At 955 PM PDT, Elko County Sheriff's Department and the US 
  Forestry Service reported flooding and multiple debris and mud 
  slides in Lamoille Canyon caused by heavy rain that fell earlier 
  on Sunday. Lamoille Canyon Road is currently closed as road 
  clearing efforts are ongoing. Additional rainfall may lead to more 
  flooding and slides through Sunday night. Flooding is possible 
  along Lamoille Creek in Lamoille Canyon and through the community 
  of Lamoille tonight.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding and debris and mud slides caused by
           thunderstorms.
