* Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 15.5 feet
Sunday morning. It will then fall below flood stage Tuesday
evening.
* Impact...At 16.0 feet, Bogue Chitto Heights Subdivision will begin
to flood. Some homes will be damaged. Homes on the west bank north
of Louisiana Highway 10 will flood. It is recommended that sand
and gravel operations be stopped and equipment secured. Access

The Flood Warning continues for
the East Hobolochitto Creek Near Caesar.
* Until late tonight.
* At 8:45 AM CDT Sunday the stage was 15.3 feet.
* Flood stage is 15.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage late
this evening and continue falling to 7.9 feet Friday morning.
* Impact...At 15.0 feet, Water over a few roads in the city of
Picayune will cause traffic problems. School bus traffic may need
alternate routes. A few homes on Northwood Drive will be
threatened. Beech Street and Westchester Subdivision below the
confluence of the east and west branches is subject to flooding in
low places.

* Forecast...The river is expected to fall below flood stage early
Thursday morning and continue falling to 10.3 feet Friday morning.
* Impact...At 13.0 feet, Homes in low-lying areas on the downstream
side of Louisiana Highway 21 near the bridge will flood. The
access road upstream of the bridge will remain inundated.

* Moderate flooding is occurring and major flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 18.5 feet
Tuesday evening.
* Impact...At 18.0 feet, River Gardens Subdivision will be
moderately flooded with several streets impassable and a few homes
flooded in the vicinity of Gum Bayou. A few homes will also be
threatened in Magnolia Forest. Secondary roads to the river and
throughout Honey Island Swamp will remain inundated.
* Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of 18.5
feet on 05/12/1991.

* Flood stage is 18.0 feet.
* Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast.
* Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 21.6 feet
tomorrow evening.
* Impact...At 22.0 feet, Woodlands and crop acreage along the river
will be flooded. The Bogue Chitto Wildlife Management area will be
inundated with water in recreational camps and over access roads.
At 21 feet, property east of Highway 21 along Bogalusa Creek will
begin to flood. Bogalusa Creek will back up threatening the Sewage
Treatment Plant. Homes south of Bogalusa Creek and east of Highway
21 will flood.
