* At 855 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing 
  heavy rain in Hammond. Between 3 and 6 inches of rain have fallen. 
  Additional rainfall amounts of 3 to 6 inches are possible in the 
  warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin 
  shortly.

  HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Storms and increasing
           surge will produce flash flooding.

  SOURCE...Radar.

  IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams,
           urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.

FOR EASTERN LIVINGSTON AND SOUTHERN TANGIPAHOA PARISHES...

At 1029 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing 
heavy rain in Hammond. Between 5 and 9 inches of rain have fallen. 
Additional rainfall amounts of 4 to 8 inches are possible in the 
warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing and will continue to get 
worse.

This is a FLASH FLOOD EMERGENCY for Hammond, Tickfaw, and 
Ponchatoula. . This is a PARTICULARLY DANGEROUS SITUATION. SEEK 
HIGHER GROUND NOW!

         flash flooding.

         crossings, small creeks and streams, urban areas,
         highways, streets and underpasses.
