The National Weather Service in Lake Charles has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
  Northwestern Iberia Parish in south central Louisiana...
  Northwestern St. Mary Parish in south central Louisiana...

* Until 515 PM CDT.

* At 316 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing 
  heavy rain across the warned area. Radar estimates show up to five 
  inches of rain have already over Marsh Island and the adjacent bay 
  waters and higher rainfall totals are beginning to move into the 
  warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin 
  shortly.

  HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, 
           highways, streets and underpasses as well as other 
           drainage and low lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
  Franklin, Cypremort Point, Baldwin, Sorrel, Cote Blanche Island,
  Glencoe, Charenton, Weeks Island and Centerville.

Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are possible in the 
warned area.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
