...RED FLAG WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 PM AST THIS AFTERNOON FOR
THE SOUTHERN COASTAL PLAINS OF PUERTO RICO...

.Soils and vegetation continue to be very dry, and a drier-than-
normal air mass persists over the region. RH values are already in
the mid 40s. As such, critical fire weather conditions are 
expected for the southern coastal plains today.

...RED FLAG WARNING IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 PM AST THIS EVENING FOR 
FIRE WEATHER ZONES 014 AND 027...

The National Weather Service in San Juan has issued a Red Flag
Warning, which is in effect until 6 PM AST this evening. 

* AFFECTED AREA...Fire weather zones 014 and 027.

* WIND...15 to 20 mph, with stronger gusts.

* HUMIDITY...RH in the low 40s, could briefly reach the mid 30s.

* THUNDERSTORMS...None.

* IMPACTS...any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly. 
  Outdoor burning is not recommended.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are either occurring now....or will shortly. A combination of
strong winds...low relative humidity...and warm temperatures can
contribute to extreme fire behavior.
