* Until 600 PM AST.
* At 400 PM AST, satellite imagery indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding in
the advisory area. Up to one inch of rain has already fallen.

...FLOOD ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 PM AST THIS EVENING...
* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.
* WHERE...A portion of Puerto Rico, including the following , Cabo
Rojo and Lajas.
* WHEN...Until 600 PM AST.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 413 PM AST, satellite estimates indicate heavy rain from
thunderstorms in the advisory area. Minor flooding is ongoing
or expected to begin shortly. Up to 1 inch of rain has
fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts up to 1 inch are expected over
the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Lajas, Cabo Rojo, Monte Grande, Puerto Real, Betances,
Boqueron, La Parguera, Pole Ojea and Palmarejo.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

The Flood Advisory will expire at 6 PM AST this evening for a
portion of Puerto Rico, including the following , Cabo Rojo and
Lajas.
The heavy rain has ended. Flooding is no longer expected to pose a
threat. Please continue to heed remaining road closures.
