* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
  Alachua County in northern Florida...
  Northwestern Marion County in northern Florida...

* Until 1115 AM EDT.

* At 1036 AM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located over Archer, or
  12 miles northeast of Bronson, moving northeast at 20 mph.

  HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated.

  IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include...
  Gainesville, Alachua, Hawthorne, Archer, University Of Florida,
  Rochelle, Cross Creek, Orange Heights, Gainesville Airport and
  Newnans Lake.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Intense thunderstorm lines can produce brief tornadoes and 
widespread significant wind damage. Although a tornado is not 
immediately likely, it is best to move to an interior room on the 
lowest floor of a building. This storm may cause serious injury and 
significant property damage.

Damaging winds and continuous cloud to ground lightning is occurring 
with this storm. Move indoors immediately. Lightning is one of 
nature's leading killers. Remember, if you can hear thunder, you are 
close enough to be struck by lightning.

Torrential rainfall is occurring with this storm, and may lead to
flash flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways.
