The National Weather Service in Northern Indiana has issued a

* Tornado Warning for...
  Northwestern St. Joseph County in north central Indiana...
  Northeastern La Porte County in northwestern Indiana...

* Until 745 PM EDT/645 PM CDT/.
    
* At 730 PM EDT/630 PM CDT/, a severe thunderstorm capable of
  producing a tornado was located near New Carlisle, or 7 miles
  northeast of La Porte, moving northeast at 45 mph.

  HAZARD...Tornado.

  SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.

  IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without 
           shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. 
           Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur.  Tree 
           damage is likely.

* This dangerous storm will be near...
  New Carlisle around 740 PM EDT.

Other locations impacted by this tornadic thunderstorm include Hudson
Lake.

This includes Interstate 80 in Indiana between mile markers 60 and
67.

...THE TORNADO WARNING FOR NORTHEASTERN LA PORTE COUNTY IS
CANCELLED...
    
The tornadic thunderstorm which prompted the warning hasmoved out of 
the warned area. Therefore, the tornado warning has been cancelled 
but the severe thunderstorm warning continues until 745 PM EDT/645 
PM CDT.

A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 800 PM EDT for north central
and northwestern Indiana...and southwestern Michigan.

NORTHWESTERN ST. JOSEPH COUNTY...
    
At 738 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado
was located over New Carlisle, or 10 miles southwest of Buchanan,
moving northeast at 45 mph.

HAZARD...Tornado.

SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.

IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without 
         shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage 
         to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur.  Tree damage is 
         likely.

This tornadic thunderstorm will remain over mainly rural areas of
northwestern St. Joseph County.
