Flood Warning for the following river in Indiana...
Wabash River.
.Lowland flooding is expected to develop tonight in the Lafayette
area, and in the Covington area Saturday afternoon. These locations
should crest this weekend about 2.5 feet above flood stage.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in Indiana...
Illinois...
Wabash River, White River.
.Minor flooding continues or is expected in the near future near
Lafayette, Covington, Hutsonville, Riverton, and Mount
Carmel on the Wabash River in western Indiana, and near Hazleton on
the White River in southwestern Indiana.
As of Friday evening a secondary crest was forming on the Wabash
River from our most recent rainfall. The river is expected to crest
at Lafayette and Coverington this weekend. On the White River, a
secondary crest is either not expected or expected to bring only a
very small rise that will keep below flood stage at the various
warning points along the river.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.
Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

just after midnight tonight. It will then fall below flood stage
tomorrow afternoon.
* Impact...At 20.0 feet, River is bankfull in all locations. All
oil field production ceases with the exception of pumping units on
substructures. Access to these are by boat only. Agricultural
losses increase dramatically. Farmers move livestock to higher
ground. City of Mount Carmel leaves flood gates B and C in year

...The Flood Warning is extended for the following rivers in
Indiana...Illinois...
Wabash River, White River
.Minor flooding continues or is expected from Lafayette through
Riverton on the Wabash River in western Indiana, and near Hazleton
on the White River in southwestern Indiana.
As of Saturday morning the Wabash River was rising along the full
length except for Riverton where it is expected to begin rising
again shortly. The White River near Hazleton is falling and will
fall below flood stage by Saturday afternoon. These rises are the
result of a period of heavy rain Thursday evening with additional
rises a result of the expected half inch of rain late Saturday
evening. These amounts will be light enough to not cause significant
changes in the forecast and with dry weather then expected through
the early portions of next week, rivers will begin to return closer
to normal by mid week.

As of late Saturday night the Wabash River had crest at Lafayette
but was rising at locations downstream of there. These rises are the
